Christmas

Family is very very important to myself and Justin and that is why we fought the crows and hassle with a brand new baby to fly to Michigan the day after Christmas to see my family, after spending Christmas day with Justin's family.

Olivia got to open all her new gifts from Santa at our house first (with mommy and daddy's help), then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Mewborn's house to have Christmas with the family.  Last we flew to Michigan on Olivia's first plane ride, to spend a few days with the Ciot family and let Olivia meet her Uncles, Aunts and cousins :)

Sleep? I'm not sure what that is...

Well she is here and amazing! BUT, I am very ready to get some sleep again. We're up about every three hours as of now for food and diaper changes. Being a mommy is a wonderful, amazing thing but I wont be such a chipper mommy very long on such little sleep :)

She's here...

November 10, 2009. 6:33 am. 6lbs 9oz. Olivia Joy Mewborn entered the world with a few pulls and tugs, filling her lungs with air and letting out a great big cry to let mommy and daddy know she was okay.

Mom went to the hospital on the 9th at 4:30pm because she thought her water broke (yes, she drove herself!). She had not started having contractions though so the doctor did a few tests and determined that yes it was her water that was leaking. The nurse started contractions around 6:30pm. At about 1:30am contractions were stopped due to the baby's heart rate dropping and started again around 2:30am. By 5:30am mom had not dilated any further so a c-section was ordered. An hour later, after mom and dad were prepped for delivery, Olivia was welcomed with open arms!

Mom and baby are doing very well and daddy is finally getting a little rest (though we know a lack there of is in the future).

We got married!

Well we finally took the plunge and on September 5th, 2009 we got married. It was a beautiful day with the sun shinning and football being played :) (opening day for college ball). The ceremony was perfect followed by the reception at Naylor Hall in Roswell, GA. Everyone had a blast and great thanks go to everyone who attended and helped us celebrate such a joyous day!

Baby shower(s)

With half of my friends and family back in the big mitten, I was lucky enough to have two baby showers thrown for me in celebration of our approaching arrival of Olivia :).

The one in Michigan was just a few weeks after we found out we were having a baby girl so my mother decked the place out in pink and teddy bears (our nursery room theme).

Georgia was thrown by the wonderful, and also pregnant, Shaunna. She isn't due till April as of now so we have some time before the next baby shower :)

I had a wonderful time at both showers and thank everyone so much for all the wonderful well wishes and gifts to make live with "Little Ms. O" much easier.

Its time to party!

Well since I can't enjoy the normal festivities of a Bachelorette party, Justin and I did a joint shin dig. Tons of friends and family were in attendance and we had a blast! Thank you to Mayhem Hero and Martians See Red for playing, and Kenny for wearing a dress :) Oh, and a special thanks to North River Tavern for hosting the wonderful event for us, I Love You Guys!
